Write to us, and a person writes back

Send a message from this page and it reaches the people who build Daily Academy — not a queue and not a bot. We aim to answer within one business day, Canadian hours, and weekends take longer. There is no phone line: one that rings out at four in the afternoon is worse than none at all.

Answered by a person, usually within one business day.

What people write in about

I have forgotten my parent PIN. Can you send it to me?

No — it is stored as a hash, so nobody here can read it back to you, which is the point of storing it that way. Send a message from this page using the address the account was created with, and we will clear the PIN so you can set a new one. Your child's progress, streak and level are untouched by a reset.

How do I cancel?

In your own settings, under Billing, through Stripe's billing portal. No phone call and no retention offer. You keep the dashboard until the end of the month you have already paid for, and your child keeps the daily mission for ever either way — cancelling costs you the parent dashboard, not their learning.

How do I delete my child's data, or the whole account?

Through this form, for now. There is no self-serve delete button yet, so write in from the address on the account, say whether you want one child removed or the entire household, and we will do it and confirm when it is done. Deletion removes every answer recorded under the account; it cannot be undone and there is no copy to restore from.

Something is broken. What should I put in the message?

The address on the account, roughly when it happened, which screen you were on and what you expected instead. The child's first name tells us which profile to look at. We do not need — and will never ask for — your password or PIN, and there is no attachment field here, so describe anything you would have screenshotted and we will ask for the picture if it helps.

Can you tell me what my child's results mean?

Yes, and we would rather you asked than guessed. We can explain any number on the dashboard and what we think it does and does not show. What we cannot do is assess or diagnose a child: if you suspect a learning difficulty, that is a conversation for their teacher and a professional assessment, and no amount of practice data substitutes for it.

Why a form rather than an email address?

Because an address published on a web page is an address in every scraper's list within a week, and the spam then arrives at the one inbox support depends on. The form goes to the same people either way, and your reply comes from a person, in writing, to the address you gave.

Do you offer phone or live chat support?

No. There is one inbox, read by the people who write the product, and it is answered in writing within about a business day. A chat widget that is unstaffed after five o'clock would look like more support than a form and be less.

What if the reply does not fix it?

Answer the reply and keep the same thread — it reaches the same person. Complaints go to the same place as everything else, because there is nowhere else for them to go and no queue to escalate out of. We would rather fix the thing than close the message.

Nothing wrong — just deciding?

The sample dashboard is open without an account, and the daily mission is free without a card. 14 days of the full dashboard if you want to see your own child's data in it.
